Our Ganesha Temple In Batu Caves

Advaitha Siddhanta Dharmasala, our monastery which has been in existence for well above 10 years in Batu Caves, has been carrying out a special daily sadhana for all those years and continuing. It’s the serving of “paall kodam” to God Of Yoga, The Chief Of The Devonic Army Lord Murugan. This milk will be used for the “abhishegam” for the Vel which is in the hollowed mystical cave inside the top of the million year old limestone! Not only that, our ashram has built a base for teaching and spreading the philosophy of Advaita, Saivite Metaphysics and the Hatha Yoga / Surya Namaskar lessons for public including the complete elaborate puja that follows every Saivite Holy Days. So, when the time came for us to move from the current place, we were presented with a difficult situation to move to a new place, simply because we did not have enough funds to purchase or rent a lot/house/unit. We started our search some year back.. and someone with a small shrine for Goddess Kali near the current KTM project offered to give the shrine to our monastery  but even that was going on a speculation and negative thoughts.. until something magical turned our attention.. the power of Gods and Guru started moving us during Guru Purnima Day this year. Guru Purnima puja started very early that morning around 4.30am, we witnessed our Guru being performed pada puja and enjoyed the powerful darshan that flowed thru us reminding us of the line of Guru Parampara. Then our brilliant soul Sri Easan brother, asked Guruji if He would like to go and see the Goddess Kali shrine, and we all went with Guruji, somehow despite going to this shrine, we ended up surveying a vast amount of lands behind that shrine, Guruji was looking at few places and we were casually walking towards an old Bhairava temples situated nearby. Sri Easen bro then suddenly, walked up a little hill like platform and saw an ancient rainforest tree towering up into the sky! This tree is the only such tree standing there as if a giant being. The minds of everyone became one with Guru and we all watched Guruji as He showed us the point right under that tree which to become a spot for a powerful Ganesha shrine! It was set, it was blessed and the rest began to blossom and happen as magical as Ganesha Himself! I am posting picture on a chronological order for you to see this temple which is to become the Yoga Centre / Academic Institution to spread the teaching of Hinduism to young generations!.
